COMPANY MOVES: AT IBC, IT’S ALL ABOUT GROWTH
( Hamilton , Bermuda – July 14th, 2005 ) International Bonded Couriers (IBC) is pleased to announce the promotion of several senior staff members, effective immediately.
Shannon Burgess, who has been with IBC since 2001, has just been promoted to Vice President, Customer Service, after spending three years working his way up in this department. In his role as Vice President of Customer Service, Mr. Burgess manages customer relations, deals with customer enquiries, and monitors flight connections and shipments. Mr. Burgess brings 10 years of business experience to the position. Mr. Burgess has an Associate Degree in Business Administration (1988) from Bermuda College .
Chris Marshall has recently assumed the position of Vice President, Logistics, and has been with IBC since 1995. In his current capacity, Mr. Marshall manages all international and local delivery data to ensure all material is accounted for, handles supply chain logistics, assists with company marketing campaigns, and resolves any issues in the delivery network. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (1990) from Carleton University in Ottawa , Canada .
Robert Meireles, who has more than 13 years of progressive employment experience at IBC, now serves in the position of Vice President, Hamilton Operations. Mr. Meireles is responsible for ensuring that the Hamilton arm of the company runs smoothly, including the staffing of all messenger, delivery and dispatch positions. Mr. Meireles also oversees the company’s fleet of vehicles to ensure they are inspected, maintained and serviced to the highest standards.
All Vice Presidents at IBC report to CEO Gordon Bussell and COO Rick Craft.
Mark Stephenson rounds out this group with his promotion to the position of Supervisor- Hamilton Operations. In this role, Mr. Stephenson oversees all delivery and messenger services, and will assist with employee training. Mr. Stephenson spent most of his career as a top chef and restaurant owner, joining IBC in 2004 in search of challenging new experiences. Mr. Stephenson reports to Robert Meireles.
