Welcome to ZipX online, a fast and easy way to shop, ship and save.

ZipX makes shopping abroad and shopping online easy.

The key to our service is a U.S. shipping address, which we give all our ZipX members. This makes it easy for members to shop, ship and save!

With ZipX, you can shop without ever leaving home! When you shop online, simply enter your U.S. address with your order information. We will coordinate the rest!

Shop and ship while you travel! As you shop in the USA, use ZipX to ship your purchases home, leaving you to travel without extra baggage and reducing duty charges.

How to use the service Upon becoming a ZipX member, you will be provided with a document detailing your foreign shipping address in the U.S. When buying from a catalogue, shopping on the internet, subscribing to magazines and catalogues or placing orders with your vendors, simply give the US address to your supplier as your "ship to" address, complete with your name and account number and then let ZipX do the rest. It's easy!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read our terms and conditions for use of the ZipX service and our terms and conditions for use of the ZipX.bm web site.

HELPFUL HINTS

How to get the best results from the service There are a few things you can do to help ensure the safe and fast arrival and delivery of your packages here in Bermuda .

1. Have your supplier show your ACCOUNT# on your package. Always request that your supplier include your ZipX account number (indicated as IBC# on your shipping address) as part of your shipping address. This is very important, as it will help us to identify your packages. Without this number, there may be delays or problems with getting your package to you. Your account # is the most important part of your shipping address, apart from your zip code of course.

2. Have your supplier EXPRESS your package to your ZipX shipping address. Always ask your supplier to send your order to your ZipX shipping address via an express delivery service (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DHL, or USPS). You'll be pleasantly surprised at how relatively inexpensive and how quickly your packages will travel. Importantly, your package can be tracked. Avoid using regular mail as packages can sometimes be lost in the postal system with no way of tracing them.

3. Request that your supplier include an INVOICE in the package with your order. This helps ensure that your package is cleared with HM Customs Bermuda , processed efficiently, and forwarded on to you in the fastest manner possible. Alternatively, have your supplier fax you an official invoice for the goods when your order is shipped. Please note that hand-written invoices are not accepted by HM Customs Bermuda . If you do not have access to a fax machine, ZipX will be happy to receive faxes on your behalf in our Customer Services Dept. Faxes should be sent to the following fax# (441) 296-2003.

4. Always request that your supplier ship your order complete. This helps reduce shipping charges. We cannot guarantee that separate packages will not be also charged the minimum first pound charge.

5. We strongly recommend...

a) That you call your bank to have your U.S. ZipX address added to your credit card. This will resolve any security issues that often arise when shipping addresses do not match the address information on file with the credit card company.

b) Before sending anything to your ZipX address, we strongly recommend that you check the weight of your order to ensure that you are satisfied with the cost of shipping the package to Bermuda . Please use our shipping calculator to determine costs.

Should you have any questions regarding an incoming package please feel free to call our ZipX Customer Service Representatives. They will be happy to assist you with any questions that you may have. They can be reached at 296-9479.

Some things you should know:

1. Payment for Services

Your credit card or debit card will be charged for duty and shipping at the time of processing and after HM Customs Bermuda has cleared your package . You will receive a copy of the billing ticket with the total charges, a copy of the HM Customs Bermuda Bill of Entry, and a copy of the supplier invoice. This allows you to track all charges.

2. Weight

Shipping charges are based on the weight of the package. Dimensional weight may apply on bulky, lightweight packages. If a dimensional weight exceeds the actual weight, dimensional weight will be used to calculate the shipping charges. Dimensional weight is calculated as follows:

L x W x H / 166 = Dimensional Weight

3. Insurance Insurance for your packages is provided free of charge for value up to $5000.00. Packages will be insured from the time that they reach your New York ZipX shipping address until the time that the package is delivered to you or picked up from our Hamilton Express Center . Please note that ZipX requires advance notification of shipments over $5000.00 in value.

4. Duty Duty is NOT included in the shipping rates and will be determined form the vendor's/supplier's invoice accompanying the goods.

5. Sales Tax A form of sales tax may be applied to your purchases and varies from state to state. You might be able to avoid sales tax in certain instances if you explain to your supplier that the ultimate destination of the goods is Bermuda .

6. Large Items and/or Larger Orders ZipX is designed to handle shipments weighing from one to 150 lbs. Should you wish to import a larger-than-usual item or an order which exceeds the 150 lbs. weight, ZipX can offer the option of air freight. Please refer to ZipX Freight . ZipX can handle these arrangements for you and any cost associated with this will be treated on an individual basis. Please call us before having these goods shipped and we will give you the necessary details on how and where to ship your order.

7. Hazardous Materials or Dangerous Goods  Any package or goods which are considered by the airline as either "hazardous material" or "dangerous goods" must be sent to Bermuda via ocean freight. The cost associated with this will be handled on an individual basis. Cost is affected by the additional transport requirements and extensive paperwork required for dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
